The Probus Association of WA (PAWA) was established in 1984 (39 years ago) with WA Probus Clubs being its members.

The rationale behind the formation of the Association of WA Clubs is purely to be the voice of the WA Clubs:

  • to advise
  • to co-ordinate, and
  • to supply information

Since the outset PAWA made a commitment that it would not dictate to, or interfere in the day to day running of any member Club.

PAWA represents 92 Probus Clubs (5200 members) in Western Australia and, like most Probus clubs, is an incorporated body with a constitution adapted from the standard Probus constitution.

PAWA is a separate and accredited legal entity from Probus South Pacific Limited (PSPL) which is the administrative and service centre for the South Pacific region.
Therefore, management of administrative and insurance matters are not part of the function of PAWA.

The Probus Association of Western Australia is proud to announce:

His Excellency The Honourable Chris Dawson AC APM
Governor of Western Australia
and
Mrs Darrilyn Dawson, wife of the Governor are both patrons of the
Probus Association of Western Australia.
